I began racing in 1973. The drag-strip was a place to go fast without getting in trouble. It didn't take long, however, to get hooked on the thrill of competition. I have always built my own engines and racecars, doing things my own way. I have traveled to many drag strips across the country, and met many great people. Some of the best times were spent helping racers get back on the track. In 2010 and 2011, I won divisional championships in NHRA’s Super Comp class both seasons. Now I enjoy racing every weekend with my son and grandsons, and my extended racetrack family. In 2017, I was leading our local points program, but engine failure at the end of the season opened the door for my son to take first place. It was a win either way. My son and I look forward to the 2018 season. We will be attending some of the biggest bracket races, with large attendance and online video coverage. Coincidentally, I have been a loyal Champion Spark Plug user forever. Thank you for considering me for this opportunity.
