You could say my racing career started at birth. In the delivery room, my father’s first words were “I can have him in a go-kart by five.” He held true to his words. When I was five, he sold his dirt modified to buy me a go-kart. After a wreck at a karting national left me lying in a Kentucky hospital with a major concussion and a lacerated liver, we started looking towards a safer level of racing. Even though the accident could have taken my life, I wasn’t going to give up.At age 11 I was racing a mini-stock at a local track. We had a track championship in the rookie division. At age 14 my dad moved me into an asphalt modified. By my seventh race in the car, I got my first win. In doing so I became the youngest driver to win in the premier division at the track. Financing has been the biggest challenge to my racing career. I had to sit out the last two seasons, but in 2018 I will be back in the driver's seat. I can’t wait for the season to begin.
