Brian Yackey

Greeley, CO

My name is Brian Yackey and I am 19 years old. As soon as I could hold a wrench, I was involved in racing including working on all aspects of my Dad’s race program. I started racing when I was 14 and have moved up and succeeded at each level including 3 championships in 6 years. In 2017, I moved up to the Late Model division at Colorado National Speedway. I had 6 wins, the championship and Rookie of the Year. I raced Challenge Cup at Colorado National Speedway in a Super Late Model and finished an impressive 3rd in my first time in a SLM against many veterans.
My goals are driven by my determination to succeed at every level and learn every mechanical aspect of the race car. I try to give back to my community at every opportunity. I did a fundraiser for Brent’s Place, raising more than $5000. Brent’s place provides housing for families with children undergoing treatment. I did a fundraiser for a local racer with bladder cancer and raised $4300.
I believe I could represent Champion well and I would be a good candidate because of my drive, determination and dedication to racing.
