Alejandro Fernandez; Red Bull Global Rallycross Future Champion

Alejandro Fernandez
On The Track, Asphalt

My name is Alejandro Fernandez and I have been involved in the racing community since I was 16 years old. I race internationally as I am from Bogotá, Colombia and currently reside in San Bernardino, California. My interest sparked early on when my brother introduced me to BMX racing. My love for racing then shifted to motorsports when I began go-karting in 2012. With the help and support of my family, I found my true passion in rally car racing. Now at 20 years old, my brother and I created AF Racing, a rally car team, which includes myself and two other drivers.
For the past three years, since its inception, I have won the Fan Favorite award in the Red Bull GRC series. This year La Banda Del Carro Rojo and FEDEAUTOS in Colombia nominated me for Driver of the Year. I was one of three professional racecar drivers nominated by FEDEAUTOS, the Colombian federation of motorsports.
Racing for Kids is a non-profit foundation that I support. This year before starting the Red Bull GRC series I was invited to visit Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital Long Beach. Meeting kids at children’s hospitals has impacted me so much that I visit in Colombia as well.
I believe Champion should sponsor me, because I have taken my love for motorsports and dedicated myself into making it a full-time career. On and off the track I work tirelessly to improve my driving performance, practicing and competing against the best drivers in the United States and Colombia. Challenging myself by competing against experienced drivers helped me get to where I am today. Receiving this sponsorship would allow me to improve my skills and compete here and abroad to advance and prove that I have what it takes to be a “Champion”.
